Students exhibit their ideas

Oxford Brookes University Foundation year students in the School of the Built Environment presented  their suggestions on how to improve the Cowley Road as a public space area.

There were many suggestions including ideas for Manzil Way featuring proposals for art pavements, regular community peformance events, markets, food stalls and green space including community herb garden.

Emma Wragg the course leader said ” This is the fourth year students in the School have benefited from working on a live project with Cowley Road Words. It really enriches the student learning experience developing design, management and collaborative skills that are all crucial in practice. The opportunity to make a difference in their local community also empowers students to produce great work,”
