Danny Mellin

Danny Mellin

Danny started playing guitar at the age of seven. His love for music developed over the years and soon formed a band with his school friends whilst still only nine years old.

He has been playing at  local summer music festivals and open mic nights since 2017 when he released his debut single Without You.

The  EP, Wake Me Up, was released in January 2018 followed by a very busy summer playing 50 gigis in 5 months and the release of 2 new singles; Why and No More.

He has played the Main Stage at Witney Music Festival, the JACK FM stage at South Parks Fireworks, Nor Lye Festival, Queen’s Festival, Libfest 2019, BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace and a mini-tour of Scotland finishing up playing his debut show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Another couple of big highlights for Danny was opening for Jake Clemons (sax player for Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band) on his solo UK tour at the O2 Academy in Oxford and winning the chance to play alongside Rowan Atkinson on the bill of a charity concert at Christ Church Cathedral.

Danny was also invited to play for a BBC Children In Need Concert for BBC Radio Oxford – Kat’s Big Night out for Pudsey. This was followed up with a live session on air at the Breakfast Show where Danny played a version of Spread Your Wings.
